Wild Wind is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that works to carry on the legacy and spirit of its founder, Walkin’ Jim Stoltz, through the support of programs that encourage more time spent in wild places and efforts that work to preserve those places.
Our mission is to continue in the forever wild spirit of Walkin’ Jim Stoltz by supporting opportunities for young people to access the outdoors in ways that foster a connection with others, themselves, and the natural world.
Our vision is a world where every young person has access to safe and enriching outdoor experiences. We envision a future where youth value their connection to all living things – that they are empowered to explore and learn, and inspired to take action to protect our planet. Through our programs and partnerships, we aim to create a movement of young environmental leaders who will shape a more sustainable future for us all.
